Responsibilities
I worked on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora as part of the Progression design team for about 9 months before leaving Ubisoft Massive. Some of the tasks I’ve worked on are:
- Feature owner of loot and rewards, designing item generation and distribution systems
- Defining the overall power progression throughout the campaign
- Content implementation for the above, working closely with Level Design on loot and with Narrative Design on rewards
- Close collaboration with crafting and vendor designers to utilize and improve the loot and reward systems

Critical acclaim
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora got some great reviews. Here are some highlights:
“Seeing Pandora is one thing, but being able to scale its massive treetops, soar high above its floating mountains on an Ikran, and traverse its wide open plains on the back of a Direhorse is really something special. This is the best version of Avatar yet. ”
Destructoid: 9.0
“Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an astonishing achievement, with exquisite visuals and a remarkable balance between pacifism and action. This is an enthralling alien world that plays host to a unique FPS.”
TheSixthAxis: 9.0
“It’s the best type of Ubisoft open-world title. One with a focus on fun gameplay, excellent storytelling, and respect for your time. It is perhaps the best-looking game I’ve ever seen. A delight for fans of Avatar, this game is so damned good that even one apathetic to the IP like myself couldn’t help but fall in love with it.”
XboxEra: 8.8
“Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora does an admirable job of recreating the sense of wonder and natural beauty of the source material, and mixes in exciting combat and an absolute smorgasbord of activities, gear, and story moments to create a game that feels faithful to Cameron’s series while also offering something fresh enough to hold your interest.”
God is a Geek: 8.5
“We all wondered how much Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora would prove to be a colorful Far Cry reskin — while there are a lot of recognisable elements here, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora does more than enough to stand on its own Na’vi feet as its own very enjoyable game.”
